Scope Rings, Bases and Mounts

A scope is only as accurate as the mount holding it. Rings and bases are the cheapest place to ruin an expensive optic and the easiest place to fix a rifle that will not hold zero.

This category includes scope rings in common tube diameters and heights, Picatinny and Weaver-style bases, one-piece mounts, and mounts and risers for red-dot and reflex sights. For long-range work, look for bases and mounts with built-in elevation cant (commonly 20 MOA), which buys back scope adjustment range so you can dial to distance without running out of elevation.

When choosing, match ring diameter to your scope tube, pick the lowest height that still clears the objective bell and any iron sights, and confirm your receiver uses the rail standard the base is cut for. Torque to the manufacturer specification with a proper wrench; over-tightening rings is a common cause of tube damage and shifting zero. Questions about fit? Email [email protected].
